No More Unwanted Brassy Hair!

This post is for all my cool toned blondes! I know I love my hair the most when the color is fresh, but what do you do when your blonde starts getting brassy? Usually I grab my purple shampoo, I tend to prefer it over purple conditioner, but what intrigued me about Redken’s conditioner is that you can adjust the intensity of the purple pigment. It has a dial of 1-6. 1 being almost purple free, and 6 being almost pure purple pigment.

Before I tried the product, I prepped my hair by shampooing with Redken All Soft (my fav!). Then I set the dial to number 5 and really worked the product through my hair. I let it sit for about 4 to 5 minutes. Once I rinsed it, I let my hair air dry and I curled it with a

1 ½ inch curling iron.

Overall I was really impressed! It definitely toned down my brassiness and made my hair nice and soft. This is a great way to refresh your color between trips to the salon. Keep in mind you only want to use the dial numbers 4-6 when your hair is really brassy. If your hair is platinum and you put number 6 on it, you're going to be left with a purple tint. With that being said, if you have purple hair, using number 6 is a great way to refresh your color! I recommend this product to anyone who wants an easy way to keep their brassiness in check!

This Product is called

You can purchase it at Ulta for $32
